Navrang is a 1959 musical starring lead actress, dancer Sandhya. Diwakar lives in the fantasy of being a renowned poet. He even imagines that within his wife Jamuna’s body resides a fantasy woman called Mohini. Soon, Jamuna starts moving further away from him. Once he writes a song against the British and that makes him lose his job. He cannot fend for his sick father, or his son. Jamuna finally leaves him but she realizes she loves him too much.
