Ip Man: Kung Fu Master is a 2019 Chinese martial arts film co-written and directed by Li Liming and starring Dennis To Yu-hang (杜宇航) as Ip Man (葉問). It is Dennis's third portrayal of the Hong Kong martial artist, after The Legend Is Born: Ip Man (2010) and Kung Fu League (2018). The film depicts Ip Man's stint as a police officer in Guangzhou before the Chinese Communist Revolution in 1949.

The film takes us back to Ip's early days before the 1949 Communist Revolution. When Ip was a Police Inspector, he was targeted for vengeance by the dangerous daughter Qing Chuan (苑立若心 Yuan Li Ruo Xin) of a ruthless but honourable mobster San Ye (王敏德 Michael Wong Man-tak).

Ip's hands are tied by corruption in the police force, disillusioned and demoralized, he quits the force and soon has to contend with the arrival of the Japanese army in Guangzhou.
