*Summary:
Dodge City Sheriff Bat Masterson is out to prove that a group of cattlemen have framed Merrick for murder because he negotiated a treaty granting the Kiowas a reserve in the grass country that the cattlemen wanted for their own grazing land. Knowing that the tribes will wage war again if Merrick is executed, Masterson begins a search for Clay Bennett who testified he saw the murder. Joining him in the hunt is Marshal Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, both for different purposes.
Masterson of Kansas is one of the best of the series of westerns starring Montgomery. There is not one dull moment as Masterson, Amy, and Doc go on their mission to free Amy's father. Both Bruce Cowling and James Griffith are convincing as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday.

_George Montgomery (born George Montgomery Letz, August 27, 1916 – December 12, 2000) aged 84, was an American actor, painter, director, producer, writer, sculptor, furniture craftsman, and stuntman who is best remembered as an actor in Western films and television.
He married actress Dinah Shore and they have two children.
He died on December 20, 2000. After cremation, Montgomery's ashes were divided and interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery (Cathedral City) near his Palm Springs home[26] and at the Highland Cemetery in Great Falls, Montana, near his birthplace.
George Montgomery has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6301 Hollywood Blvd. In 1995, a Golden Palm Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars was dedicated in his honor.[27] He is also honored with a statue in the square of Plentywood, Montana.
